There were many accounts available for their weeks in captivity, but unfortunately they seldom aligned in terms of details. Each of the incidents is described in one or more of the depositions, oral histories, conversations and/or books by (or about) the airmen or in war crimes testimony concerning events in Buchenwald over this period. The sequence is a "best guess" after integrating the reports.
